WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE THERAPY?

Everyone deserves to be supported in a unique way and I work by adapting my therapeutic approach to suit your needs and requirements. Integrative psychotherapy incorporates several different perspectives of human psychology. It takes into account that each person is completely unique, with their own experiences, emotions, feelings and approach to life.

My role is to facilitate your self-reflection, in order that you can gain greater self-awareness and insight. Therapy is an individual process, one that can be empowering and enlightening. It is also a collaborative process, where we will work together to find effective strategies and options that work for you in your life.

As an integrative practitioner, I provide each client with the approach best suited to their individual needs. I work within a multi-dimensional model, merging together various psychotherapeutic approaches and combining specific effective elements from each.

My theoretical stance is primarily from a client-centred, humanistic perspective and I also incorporate techniques from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt, solution-focused therapy, rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT) and other schools of therapy. I practice mindfulness teachings throughout my work.
