I am a fully-qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, with 12 years experience in private practice, as well as a number of other settings, including a mental health rehab charity and a community centre, both in East London. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of East London.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their code of ethics.
Prior to retraining as a psychotherapist, I worked in healthcare publishing for more than ten years. I also spent a number of years working for the mental health charity SANE.
I offer individual counselling to adults and I provide both time-limited and open-ended longer-term therapy. My approach incorporates insight, empathy and compassion. I consider the relationship between therapist and client to be an integral part of successful therapy.
My professional therapeutic experience covers a wide range of presenting issues. I have a particular interest in how past trauma can impact our behaviours and thought patterns in the present, often leading to anxiety, panic, depression, relationship issues and low self esteem/low self worth.
